Baptism Photographer in Limburg: Baptism coverage at the Sint Gerlachus Church near Chateau Sint Gerlach

These individuals found me through Google. I received an email request to photograph the baptism of their daughter. I called them immediately, and we scheduled the coverage.

Yesterday was the day. At 2 o'clock, their daughter was baptized. The godfather and aunt, grandparents, and other family members were present, including family from Portugal, as the baby's mother is Portuguese. The actual baptismal gown was very old and had been passed down through generations in the family. She wore it when the actual baptism took place.

She was an incredibly amusing little girl who chatted cheerfully with the priest throughout the entire baptism. However, when she actually felt the water, she suddenly didn't find it as enjoyable. She didn't want that. It caused quite a bit of hilarity. After the prayers and anointing, we moved from the baptismal font towards the altar at the front of the church to light the baptismal candle by the statue of Mary. All the other small children also received a candle.

Following this, the priest bestowed his blessing, and the baptized child got to ring the bells (or at least press the button that makes the bells ring).

To conclude, we wanted to take a small photo shoot in the rose garden. However, the baptized child wasn't interested anymore. She was tired from all the impressions, and she could only be persuaded for a few photos. Even bribes with ice cream didn't work; she had had enough, and she made that quite clear :-).
